My Japanese Motorcycling Adventure
I thought it’s about time that I wrote this up before I start forgetting things. Not that it would be very likely that I would forget my first overseas motorcycling experience…! It was January 26, some mates & I had been in Japan for nearly a couple of weeks, mainly for snowboarding - but I have taken onboard the idea that there’s no point in going to another country unless...

Two guys, one really bad crash →
This is a pretty gnarly crash story from Sean at HFL. Broken bones I am fine reading about, but having a catheter pulled out (not removed - pulled out), and forcefully re-inserted is too much. I found my new worst fear.

MV Agusta F3 - In Production
Not sure if the nifty little player that HFL uses will embed here properly, but if not you can view the F3 production video here: http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2012/02/watch-as-the-mv-agusta-f3-enters-production/ One interesting thing I saw was that they use the “just in time” production principle. That’s the same way that Steve Jobs set up the production lines in the...

I was on Stoners MotoGP bike
Tokyo Auto Salon, January 2012. I was keen to see what it is really like to sit on a MotoGP bike, so many people mention that they’re very small machines. And they’re right! I consider myself an average size guy at 5’ 11”, maybe a bit heavier than average weighing in at 83Kg. I always used to think of MotoGP in terms of relating it to production sportsbikes, but now...

Just a brief note in response to supermons asking for the original forum link relating to my recent post on finding the limits of traction on a motorcycle.

Motorcycle: On Finding The Limits Of Traction
I recently saw a forum comment about improving without crashing, and it really got my attention. I’m not sure if the person was coming from the same sort of angle, but I used to think that the only way I could find the limit would be from crashing. Thankfully it’s just not true and I’ve saved myself alot of pain and money! So then how does a regular motorcycling enthusiast...
